01Who we are and scope

YCO Multiverse Private Limited operates NEET Live and provides educational guidance, counselling-process support, performance tools, mock tests and admission-related information for NEET aspirants. This policy applies when you use our website, app, forms, calls, webinars or counselling services.

We handle digital personal data with regard to applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 as their relevant provisions become applicable under the notified commencement schedule.

02Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Name, mobile number, email address and city.
  • NEET score, rank, category, domicile, preferred states, budget and college preferences.
  • Academic, eligibility and counselling details that you voluntarily provide.
  • App activity, mock-test attempts, answers, performance data and feature usage.
  • Student account identifiers, password hashes, account status, login timestamps, failed-login counters and revocable session records. We do not store your readable account password.
  • Payment order IDs, payment IDs, amount, status, method, settlement or refund references and billing records. YCO does not intend to collect or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN, OTP or online-banking password.
  • Technical information such as device type, browser, IP address, timestamps and basic analytics.
  • Records of enquiries, counselling sessions, support messages and consent choices.

Please do not submit original identity documents or sensitive information unless specifically requested through an authorised, secure channel.

03How and why we use information

We process information for the purpose explained when it is collected, with your consent where required, to provide a service you request, protect our systems, maintain transaction records or meet an applicable legal obligation.

  • Create and secure a student account, authenticate sign-ins, manage sessions and connect authenticated enquiries or payments to the correct student ID.
  • Respond to enquiries and assess possible counselling pathways.
  • Provide predictors, mock tests, performance insights and live counselling updates.
  • Shortlist colleges based on information and preferences you provide.
  • Deliver purchased services, webinars, alerts and customer support.
  • Improve our website, app, content, products and service quality.
  • Prevent misuse, protect our systems and comply with applicable legal obligations.
  • Send service and promotional communications where permitted; you may opt out of marketing.
Important: Automated tools and predictors provide estimates, not admission decisions. Final eligibility and allotment remain with the relevant authorities and institutions.

04When information may be shared

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with authorised counsellors, technology and communication providers, payment processors, analytics providers, or other vendors working for us under appropriate obligations. We may also disclose information where legally required, to protect rights and safety, or during a corporate restructuring.

We do not submit applications to colleges or counselling authorities in your name unless the relevant service expressly includes that action and you authorise it.

05Retention and security

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including service delivery, dispute resolution, accounting and legal compliance. Retention depends on the type of record, whether a service or transaction remains active, and applicable limitation, tax or regulatory periods.

Account passwords are stored only as one-way password hashes. Browser session tokens are random, stored in secure HTTP-only cookies and represented in our database by a separate cryptographic hash. Sessions expire, may be revoked on logout or password change, and are supported by rate limits and security-event records.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards and review access to student and payment records. If a personal-data incident requires notice under applicable law, we will take the required response and notification steps. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

06Your choices, rights and grievances

Subject to applicable law and the relevant commencement provisions, you may ask for a summary of personal data being processed, correction or updating, erasure, withdrawal of consent, and grievance redressal. Some information may be retained where required for legal, security, fraud-prevention or transaction-record purposes.

To stop marketing messages, use the unsubscribe method provided or contact us. Service-related communications may continue while you use an active product or counselling service. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already completed lawfully before withdrawal.

07Students under 18

Many NEET aspirants may be under 18. Where required, a parent or lawful guardian should review and consent to the submission of personal information and the purchase of counselling services. Parents or guardians may contact us regarding a minor’s information.

08Cookies, links and changes

We may use necessary cookies and similar technologies for functionality, security and analytics. Our services may link to official authorities, colleges or third-party platforms; their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change, and will post the revised effective date here.

09Privacy and grievance contact

For a privacy request, consent withdrawal or grievance, contact the Privacy & Grievance Desk at YCO Multiverse Private Limited. Include your registered phone or email and a short description, but do not send passwords, OTPs, UPI PINs or unnecessary identity documents.
